Title: Occupational Therapy Assessment of People with Guillain-Barré Syndrome in Productive Age Focusing on Possibilities of their Employment Abstract: Guillain-Barré syndrome is an acute inflammatory neuropathy affecting the peripheral nerves. Its most common symptoms are symmetrical weakness, myalgia, paraesthesia or dysesthesia, areflexia, and temporary quadruplegia. The syndrome starts affecting lower limbs. It progresses in the cranial direction which may lead to ventilation insufficiency and autonomic dysfunctions. It may even affect ability to work of people in productive age. Occupational therapists may specifically target the employment opportunities of people with Guillain-Barré syndrome and support them in returning to work as part of occupational therapy interventions conducted in health and social care institutions or prevocational assessment centers. This thesis describes the occupational therapy examination in detail with emphasis on the possibilities of employment of three people in productive age with Guillain-Barré syndrome. Woman after breast cancer surgery in productive age and their return to employment from the view of occupational therapy

Breast cancer in women of productive age is a huge problem of the current population. Approximately 52% of women, which were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, were aged 20-64. The aim of this thesis is to discover the influence of surgical solution of breast cancer on women return to their original profession. There were 68 suitable participants, who received surgical treatment, were aged 20-64, with finished treatment and who went back to their original employment. The results show that amongst manually working women, 60,9% return to their original employment, in administrative 78% return, which, in acceptance region of 0,05 (p = 0,142), is not a statisticaly significant difference. Furthermore, it was not found that age and lenght of treatment are connected (p=0,040). It appears that the time it takes to return to employment is significantly connected to the type of operation (acceptance region 0,05, p=0,046). This research shows how important it is for women after breast cancer treatment to receive timely rehabilitational intervention and to return to employment and how this affects their quality of life. Corporate social responsibility in relation to women returning to work after parental leave

This bachelor work is focused on women returning to work after parental leave, from the view of the phenomenon of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The aim of the thesis is to find out, what position the employer holds in supporting women, who try to return to their work, within the phenomenon of CSR. Specifically, the work focuses on the SKODA AUTO Company, on how the company is or isn't socially responsible. The research part of this work is done as a case study of this company; specifically it is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods of research. The first part of it was questionnaire for a larger number of women employees, which did return in the past 3 years to this company or will return during this year. After evaluating quantitative data, the qualitative research was made. Seven interviews were done with the respondents during the qualitative research; one of them was a recruiter of this company. She herself should make it easier for mothers to return and help them to find a suitable job. The main result was that even though the employees are interested in alternative types of jobs (job sharing, work from home, part-time job, …) this company provides only a small number of these positions. Harmonization of work and family life of families with small children in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with status of women in the labour market, especially women with small children, and their disadvantaged position to men. The thesis focuses on women return from parental leave to the labour market, the harmonization of work and family life of families with small children and used strategies and measures that help to facilitate the current situation. By analyzing the situation of women with small children in the district Nymburk are identified the biggest problems with finding job and with harmonization of work and family. At the end there are suggested the measures to help to improve the situation.
Harmonization of work and family life - causes of the failure of women to return to the labor market after parental leave

This bachelor thesis discusses the problems of women returning to work after maternity or parental leave. Introductory section deals with family policy in the Czech Republic and its development, the role of the state in developing the family status of women in the labor market, level playing fields for women and men in the labor market, particularly women returning to the labor market after parental leave. Analytical part presents the results of a survey aimed at harmonizing work and private life and the reasons for the failure of women to return to the labor market in the Czech Republic. It refers to the situation of women after maternity leave, their opportunities and willingness to find a job, including barriers preventing them find a suitable job. It proposes possible measures in the labor market, both by government action and by the employers.
